Hello! My name is Celina Felix. I am 21 years old and currently finishing up my A.A. transfer courses at Mt. San Antonio College. I currently major in psychology, but leaning towards neuropsychology or philosophy to attain a bachelor's degree in. I am an athlete who participated in the softball program at Mt.SAC and is headed towards attending The University of Texas at Austin in the fall of 2015 on a athletic scholarship. This will be my first philosophy course, and I am hoping my interest in philosophy will do well with understanding its concepts and principles.

Hi! My name is Jane Nicholson, I am 19 and I'm on the swim team at Mt. SAC. I'm finishing my AA in Sociology. I plan to pursue my bachelors in sociology and a masters in international development. I plan on transferring to Azusa Pacific and i would like to become an International Development Director for a non-profit. I'm very interested in philosophy, sociology and psychology so I'm excited to take this class and learn more about philosophy!

Hello, my name is Reed Scale. I am 20 and have just finished my Kinesiology AA at SAC this spring, but I needed one more humanities class to be IGETC certified, so I'm testing the waters of philosophy! I've been a student athlete at Mt. SAC since the Fall of 2013 and the best pole-vaulter on the Track & Field team for the two years that I competed. My two years of hard work in the classroom and on the track at Mt. SAC really paid off because I'm heading to UCLA this coming Fall with a full ride and I'll be entering as their top vaulter. I've been a Kinesiology major at SAC, but I'm not sure what I'll be studying yet at UCLA. As far as goals go, I'm going to do my best to keep pulling in good grades and jumping as high as possible!

Hello fellow classmates! I am local to the area having grown up and lived in neighborhing Pomona practically my whole life. I am an architecture student who has already taken Intro to Philosophy but at a different college. I disliked the course heavily and didn't do as well so I'm giving it another shot, but this time at Mt. SAC. I've taken PHIL 8 Critical Thinking with Prof. Lane before and enjoyed it, which is the sole reason I'm taking this course.

Hi all, my name is Elvira Halim. I am 18 years old and I just finished my first year at UC Riverside. I'm majoring in Business Economics, but I'm taking this class at Mt. Sac to fulfill my electives requirement and I find philosophy very interesting. I plan to minor in Finance later on and get my bachelor's degree. My goal is to be a financial analyst at an investment company.

Hello everyone, my name is Samantha Spindola. I am a fourth year at the University of California Santa Cruz and I'm majoring in Environmental Studies. I took a leave of absence and attended Mt. Sac for its vet tech program last year and I really enjoyed the program. I plan to return next year to finish the program because I really enjoy working with animals. However, right now I am taking this course to fulfill my last GE, but I look forward to learning more about this subject.

My name is Jonathan and I just turned 24 a day ago. I have been at Mt. SAC for 2 years. My major is Engineering in Design Technology, but my educational goal is to get a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. My goal is to become a homeowner at 25 years old and to retire at 40, so I can travel.

Hey mates, My name is Tahniya Sweatt and you guys can call me TT. I play basketball for the women's team here at Sac. I played 2013 took last year off now I'm back. I'm currently working at Buffalo Wild Wings and reside in old town Pasadena. I will become a basketball coach after my years of playing. I added this class to just broaden my insight and learn new things. I enjoy shopping and just enjoying life to the fullest. I keep God first and foremost. My motto is God Family Basketball. More about me is that Im laid back and easy going, very determined and focus to succeed.

I took this class for my GE and because I have some interest in Philosophy which I never really explored before. I am bookworm and love reading. I am also a fan of manga and anime. My name is Desiree Mendoza, I am 20 years old. This fall will be my third year at Mt. SAC and I have not decided on a major just yet, however, I am interested in anthropology, environmental science, and biology so will see what I end up deciding in the near future.
I am nervous due to the fact this is my first online class but eager to learn philosophy and begin the deep thinking process. I live in Upland, and work as a full time receptionist at an insurance company. I love hiking, books, the outdoors, my pet boxer, and love going to the beach in San Diego. Hi, My name is Zhiren Zheng. I go by Isaac, even though we don't really have the chance to call each other's name. I started at Mt.SAC at Spring, 2014. I am transferring out this Fall. I am taking this class not only because it fulfills my GE, but also because I want to learn something I am not familiar with. Forgot to mention that I turned 20 years old this April. My major is physics and I will also minor in material science & engineering after I transfer. My goal is to become a professor or engineer.

Hello, my name is Tyler and I am 22 years old. This is my second year at mt sac and I am majoring in commercial flight. I have a love for flying airplanes and I am a private pilot as of now. I am looking to further my flying experience and knowledge by attending mt sac. I enjoy being outdoors and anything to do with water. I am taking this class to learn something different than my normal interests and fulfill requirements to graduate.

Hello everyone! My name is Candace Friesenhahn, I'm 20 years old. Currently I am working towards receiving my AA, I hope to major in Nursing. I want to eventually become a Pediatric RN.
