1. Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is how humans have evolved and adapted over time. This is important for how humans behave because we are able to compare the past with the present. In a sense, evolution gives humans a guideline to follow, not necessarily by mistakes made, but by how other species have gone on living. According to Charles Darwin and his natural selection evolution changes with the environment. This is why species before humans have adapted and survive, described as survival of the fittest. Humans have not only found a way to survive physically but mentally as well. Just like everything in this world evolves and changes, human behavior will continue to change with it.
2. Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
The theory of evolution cannot answer the origin of the universe and how we human beings got here. The evolutionary theory is just that, its a theory. There is no proof. Many people each have their own different opinion and thoughts. My girlfriend and her family are Christians and believe in God. They believe God created the Earth, and Adam and Eve, and they then began to populate the Earth. This is just the same as evolution, it is a theory, but no one can really prove it. And this proof can never be obtained, since humans were not the first beings here on Earth. Earth, in a large perspective, is not even that old to begin with. So how did we come about? This is a question, that no matter what "theory" you turn to, that can never be answered with facts.
