Why is the theory of evolution so important in understanding how human beings behave?
The theory of evolution is summarized as the development of mankind through the years and the changes that occur and the adaptations that were overcome. The example that the author used was how one looks the way they look, which is based the the features of their parents and family through previous generations (Lane 7). Evolution takes a tole in the architecture of a human brain. Behavior has a direct relation with our brains, as everyone’s actions have come our conscience. “We focus our attention on developing a more comprehensive analysis of the brain and how it ‘creates’ self-reflective awareness (34)”. The self-reflective awareness the author is referring to is related to the theory of evolution because everyone owns a different sense of awareness due to their brain. The behavior of humans, from apes to cavemen to present day, has changed drastically because of evolution and the development of human behavior.
Which questions do you think evolutionary theory cannot answer?
The essential belief in Christianity on the beginning of mankind is the sending of Adam and Eve to Earth to populate the world. The theory of evolution has failed to provide an answer on whether the ideology is true or not. Charles Darwin believed that “the theory of evolution would radically transform other fields of research” (Lane 27). However, another question that the theory is able to answer where life originated. Creationists believe that Adam and Eve were sent to a specific region of the world, whereas evolutionists, based on the theory of evolutions, are unable to agree upon a region where mankind first began. Sir Dawkins was the creator of the meme theory of religion, as it was “made-up” and has no sense of morals and values for humans, as it was created by mankind. On other hand, Dawkins views science as “the dominant ideology of the time but engine of objective science” (45).
