desiree, i like what you posted about why soctates was sentenced to death. I agree that he was persecuted for dishonoring his society and there beliefs. Everyone being against him was sad and unfair because everyone should repect people belief even if the society thinks otherwise. Also yes religous people do believe that the good and bad things are Gods will and see no need to question it. And yes this ongoing conflict comes from misinterpreting the others views and beliefs and the subjects are so indepth humans cannot fully understand it.
