“The Life of Pythagoras”
Yes, I have read the extra credit reading “The Life of Pythagoras”. Pythagoras was a Greek philosopher, mathematician, and founder of the religious movement called Pythagoreanism. The book was mostly about Pythagoras’ life and experiences. He is born on an island and traveled throughout the area as a young child. In the late 6th century BC, Pythagoras as an adult has made lots of contributions to philosophy and religion. He is best known for the Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean Theorem is use to solve for the measurement of the sides on a triangle. Throughout his travels from Egypt, Babylonia, and Greece, he did lots of research in the area of mathematics.
“Einstein vs. Bohr.”
According to the reading, Einstein published his complete theory of the relationship between each elements having reality to one other. In his report, he addresses two questions “is the [quantum physics] theory correct?” and “is the description given by the theory complete?” (p. 3). Throughout his research report, he explored and broke down the structure of the mathematical equations of quantum mechanicals. He was trying to in a way prove Bohr’s theory to be wrong. Towards the end of his life, he wanted to find one ultimate equation that would have all the theories combine into one equation, no longer than an inch.
